The first stable version of MPFB2 (2.0.8) is released. It is officially hosted on the new Blender Extensions platform, making MakeHuman a native part of the Blender ecosystem.
The new journey of exploration and development begins with planning, art and coding.
Makehuman 2 Planning and developing completely new from the ground up.
New Beginning
Development begins on a complete rewrite of the Blender side plugin. The goal of Joel Palmius: Move away from a “bridge” and make MakeHuman run inside Blender. MPFB2 Alpha 1 is released March 2022. MC2 released by Punkduck same year.

Dark Days
MPFB1 (MakeHuman Plugin for Blender) is introduced with MH 1.2.0 Alpha 3. This allowed a “Live Link” via network sockets to sync characters instantly between apps.
The Tides Start to Turn.
MHX2 (MakeHuman eXchange 2) becomes the standard for high-quality export to Blender.
Makehuman 1 is largely declared abandonware by its founding team in favor of Blender plugins.
